Went for a trip up north to have a look at the country side. The girls were sick of sandy vistas after five minutes so couldn’t get them enthusiastic about rocky outcrops and ruins. For the record we saw several herds of camels, a lizard, a buried township, a deserted village, several forts and lots of sand. I was on the phone to the Aussie team who were also out sightseeing and missed the turn off to Dukhan which was a bit of a relief to the girls as this shortened the big day out considerably.

Day Trip
