Museum of Islamic Art

I had an entry recently about the opening of the Museum of Islamic Art. It is now open to the public so wandered down for a wee look. It’s the sort of place you probably need to spend a day at. I did a quick “recki” just to check it out, as did a lot of other people. I’ll flick a few photos up and a short vid to help you get a sense of the place.

It is a stunning building both inside and out. The pieces here make you realize how valuable history is.

It tells some wonderful stories. Like the quadrants used in construction from the 12th century. You also appreciate the skills of those from the past. One of these photos is a picture of a Koran from the 10th century…perfect.
